The design and carpentry of stairway balustrading is not difficult. With care and enthusiasm a high standard of result can be achieved using only simple tools and basic carpentry skills. Provided they are a minimum of 70 mm square it will be a straight forward operation to cut and drill out old existing newels to accept a new Midland Stairparts balustrade. To make the work even easier a range of steel handrail bolts and fixing plates are available. (Details supplied on request).
